In case you haven't heard, Austin, Texas is getting CLEAR WiMAX internet service in town very soon. WiMAX is an exciting technology, as it basically makes the whole city of Austin and areas from San Marcos up to Georgetown a hugh Wi-Fi hotspot. Don't confuse it with Wi-Fi, although the basic premise is the same, that is, you connect to the internet through a wireless connection. This website has quite a bit of information regarding WiMAX, what it is, and what it has to offer, so we won't go into detail here. Just browse the WiMAX menus if you would like to learn (a whole lot) more.

AusTex VoIP has become an authorized retailer for CLEAR WiMAX. We are excited about the technology, what is has to offer, and of course, the possiblity of making a few bucks promoting the service. We see a lot of potential in this type of internet service, and we have major plans to incorporate it into our VoIP offerings. That's another topic, and we'll save that one for the VoIP blog. Needless to say, we also don't want give away our thoughts on how WiMAX fits with other technologies and services, as we'd like to be an originator or early adopter of some of these ideas.

So let's get down to why we think AusTex VoIP should be your source for getting CLEAR WiMAX service! First, understand that although we ARE in this to make a buck, it's not our first priority. We come from a long history of involvement with companies that put Customer Satisfaction above everything else. We believe in this, because we have seen it work, and work very well. We honestly want to see our customers completely satisfied with our sales and services, and we will go out of our way to make sure that this is accomplished. We sincerely hope our customers will rate our performance on our own web pages, internet rating sites, such as Yelp, and anywhere else they can think (maybe Twitter).

The AusTex VoIP difference is that we are not going to sell you remotely, wish you the best as you walk out the door, and leave any signal problems or issues up to you and CLEAR to resolve later. When you call us and let us know you are interested in CLEAR WiMAX, the first thing we will do, after answering any of your initial questions, is to set up an appointment with you, at your location, at a date and time you set up. When we arrive (on time) for the appointment, we will bring with us a full compliment of working equipment to check the availability of a signal, and signal strength at your site. We can demonstrate and test home modems, USB modems, and voice. Not only will we test for signal and strength, we will run speed tests to double check that there are no other underlyng problems, such as an acceptable signal, but slow speeds or high latency.

If, everything looks good during our visit with you, and you decide you would like to get WiMAX service, we can handle that right on the spot. We can get you signed up online, and will have brand new equipment with us to set up if needed. Not only will we set up your CLEAR equipment, we will be happy to help you set up a network or any other equipment you intend to use with WiMAX. We can even bring in a wired or wireless router (at a small charge) and set up a new network for you, if you don't already have one. We're Networking and IT folks also (we have to be in the VoIP business), and have no problem doing what's necessary to make your CLEAR WiMAX experience a pleasant one.

Although, we could shoot for quantity over quality in our WiMAX offerings, we are not going to do this. We will be limiting the amount of daily installs to insure that we have enought time to complety set-up and go over your new service. One hour or four, we don't care. We will take the time necessary to make sure we have only happy, and completely satisfied customers.
